acozyfuture.com – The Cozycove team had a great visit and deep dive into one of Singapore's top B2B waste management and recycling firms - Envcares. We toured Envcares facilities and operations, and had a good mutual exchange and learning with hosts Envcares's General Manager - Mr Ong Gin Keat and organisers - the NUSS Sustainability Chapter.
We learnt more about the unique challenges facing Singapore's waste problem, as well as what is currently being done and what more could be done to address these concerns. Especially interesting was the industrial-scale organic composting, general waste recycling, and slag recycling.
Did you know that Singapore faces a unique waste management challenge? By 2035, Singapore's only landfill, Pulau Semakau, will be completely filled!
Where will our waste go then? That's a question we hope to collectively contribute to a more sustainable and viable solution over time.
